the MAYA framing works on ai but it works just as well on internal process. every org ive been inside has a tool or a meeting or a layer of approval that nobody remembers deciding to add, it just got more advanced one notch at a time until it was normal. the uncanny valley moment for process is usually a new hire asking why a thing exists and nobody having a real answer. thats the tell that the line moved without anyone choosing it

Yes, I have been that person asking why something exists or what something is done the way it is. I still do it, several years into my company.
