Honored to partner with you, Colette, and to connect with your Empathy Elevated listeners. I can vouch from the outside-in that this is a newsletter worth subscribing to, especially if you're wondering about being emotionally wise while engaging systems and teams.

This is an important distinction.

Good communication is not always about finding a stronger argument. Sometimes the real work is creating enough space for people to examine the tension without feeling forced into an immediate position.

When people feel that a conclusion is being pushed on them, they defend themselves. When they feel that the question is being held with them, they are more likely to think.

Great framing here @Agnes Szabo. Finding space for the tension and allowing a decision to breathe opens us up to better thinking.

Thank you, Colette.

I love the way you expressed it. Sometimes the greatest value of a conversation is not that it produces an immediate answer, but that it gives an idea enough room to grow.

I subscribed to Empathy Elevated because I'd genuinely like to read more of your perspective.

If my writing resonates with you as well, I'd be grateful if you subscribed to LifeArchitecture. I think we share a genuine interest in how people think, communicate, and grow.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

Agnes
